Coombs is a versatile crescent-shaped shawl inspired by my local fibre shed. Wrap it around your neck as a scarf or draped over your shoulders as a shawl. Each year I attend the 100 Mile Fleece Fair in Coombs on Vancouver Island where many local farmers share fleece and yarns from their flocks. I always look forward to the unique offerings with new yarns each year from old friends. This particular yarn came from Inish Eile Farm on Pender Island. Martha, the farmer, raises the endangered cotswold sheep. Cotswold and other rare and heritage breeds rely on small farmers like Inish Eile to keep the breed alive. I designed the Coombs Shawl to show up the beauty of the yarn and I encourage you to explore what small farms and fibre artists might be in your own fibre shed along with the unique and wonderful yarns they may offer.

NOTES
- For pattern support, please email wolfandfaunknits@gmail.com
- This pattern is highly adaptable to suit your own yarn from your local fibre shed however gauge and tension will affect the yardage of the pattern.
- Due to variations in personal knitting, and to avoid a game of yarn chicken, I recommend gathering more than enough yarn to complete the project in case you end up needing slightly more. I typically make sure I have 10% more yarn than the pattern calls for to make up for waste yarn or needing more due to my personal gauge and tension.

As always, instructions are in written and chart when applicable. The pattern has been tech-edited and tested.

Thank you to my tech editor Melinda at rhyFlowerKnits and to my lovely bunch of talented testers
